67 S78 Eldon A. Dumroese, 63, an architect who helped shape the Village of Burr Ridge, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 6, 1999, at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was born March 9, 1936, in Chicago, and earned a degree in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). For 25 years, he was the owner and President of Advantage Plus in Burr Ridge. First in his role as Deputy Building Commissioner and later as a Plan Commission member and Plan Commission Chairman, Mr. Dumroese played a significant role in the growth and development of the Village of Burr Ridge. Hired as Deputy Building Commissioner in the 1960s, he was on hand for the inspection of the homes, apartments, and large office and warehouse buildings in Burr Ridge's first real developments, Carriage Way and the Tower Drive industrial park. Mr. Dumroese continued in his role as Deputy Building Commissioner until November 1972. In 1969, he was a homeowner in the western portion of the then-unincorporated Pleasantdale area to the east of Burr Ridge, and he found himself becoming a newsmaker. When the Chicago City Council voted in July 1969 to sell the 297-acre Bridewell prison farm to the Chicago Dwellings Association, Mr. Dumroese was present with a petition signed by 731 residents asking that they be given a voice in any development of the land. He further found his voice working tirelessly to bring about the annexation of Pleasantdale to Burr Ridge in 1976, thus surrounding the prison farm and ensuring the Village's role in its development. Mr. Dumroese became a member of the Burr Ridge Plan Commission in 1977 and was appointed Chairman in 1978. In his new role, the Bridewell prison farm again became his concern when its new owner, Emro Land Company, petitioned for annexation to Burr Ridge. He chaired the public hearings for the Plan Commission and then assisted in the months of negotiations that concluded with the 1982 approval of the annexation agreement that brought the property into the Village. He resigned from the Plan Commission in 1983, but appeared before it many times in the years since, representing many landowners seeking annexation, rezoning, or the development of their property. Mr. Dumroese lived in Burr Ridge for 16 years, in Orland Park, Illinois, for 10 years, and in Westmont, Illinois, for the past 5 years. He attended Union Church in Hinsdale, and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and working with computers. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Anne; the loving father of Allison (Matthew) Bogash and Gregory E. (Lori); the devoted grandfather of Dylan Bogash; the fond brother-in-law of Patricia Funk; and the dear uncle of Heather and Amy Funk. http://www.legacy.com/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=1138 (accessed 22 September 2008).

74 S141 Fred Page vs. Marie M. Page Divorce Papers, Circuit Court of Jasper County, Missouri. September Term 1943 at Joplin. Found a copy of the divorce papers on 5 August 2005 in the Records Annex in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. These records were apparently filed in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri (Jasper County had 2 official courthouses: Carthage and Joplin). I did not find any reference to this divorce in the record books in the Carthage Courthouse. Although the divorce papers indicate they were married in Carterville, Jasper County, Missouri, I could not find a listing of Fred and Marie's marriage in 1926 in any Jasper County records.
