Joan Edith Wonnell, 70, Martinsville, died Feb. 5, 2008, at her residence. Born March 10, 1937, in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Edith Elizabeth Huber. She was a financial analyst for many years in the I. T. department at Indiana National Bank, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. She was past honored queen of Bethel 52, Order of Job's Daughters of the Englewood Masonic Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending their basketball games. Survivors include a son, Tim Wonnell of Martinsville; a daughter, Edith "Edie" Sanborn of Mooresville and two grandchildren, Erika and Jacob Sanborn. She was preceded in death by Harry and Melvina Johnson, her paternal aunt and uncle, who helped raise her, and a half-brother, Keith Huber. The service will be noon Friday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 445 East Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis. Visiting hours will be 10 to noon Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Independent Order of Oddfellows Cemetery in Waverly. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 438 S. Emerson Ave., Greenwood IN 46143, or the American Cancer Society, 6030 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46278. Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville is in charge of arrangements.
